A market town, it has a beautiful 10th and 12th century collegiate church dedicated to Saint-Pierre and Saint-Gaudens, situated on the road to Compostela. To the south of the town, the remains of a large Gallo-Roman villa dating from the 4th century can be seen in Valentine. The organ of the Collegiate Church of Saint-Gaudens: the current organ case dates from before 1662. It is a large massive oak and lime tree case, with Louis XIV style characteristics. It was classified as a historical monument in 1972 and 1980. The Eugène Azémar square, named in honour of the creator of the Grand Prix automobile du Comminges (1922-1952) is the town's public garden.
